Aurora Bella is a Canadian/American/Austrian singer-songwriter who performs solo on piano, guitar, and ukulele, and as a member of the band Little Darkness, (with bandmates Dawson Wayne, Anthony Thomas, and Shea Goyer). Her work is emotional, observant, and yet catchy, with an intelligent wit and power woven into the threads of every song. Her first full production single “I Miss You”, was released in 2022, followed by “Don’t Worry” in early 2023. Her music has been played on CFCR and CBC radio. She has live-streamed concerts for the SaskMusic/CBC virtual Open House Concert series, the Virtual Ness Music Festival, TeleMiracle 45, Stripped Down LIVE on Shaw TV, and was showcased in the Jim Beam National Talent Search at Canadian Music Week. She has performed on stage at Ness Creek Music Festival, the Saskatoon Fringe Festival, SaskTel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival, Doylefest, Art in the Garden Festival, Taste of Saskatchewan, Spark Your Pride, and at numerous music clubs, cafes, and corporate events.

Aurora Bella’s latest single, “Dumb Enough” was produced by Earl Pereira (The Steadies, Wide Mouth Mason) and her first production album, Persephone, produced by Earl Pereira and Efren Pereira Jr. at Dr. Juicebox Studio in Saskatoon is due to be released Fall 2023.

Press:

“(Aurora) Bella’s solo style is a dreamy alt-rock kind of sound, heavy on strings and filled to the brim with creativity. Her music is plaintive and powerful, and she’s a performer to keep an eye on as her career keeps progressing… Bella is a great young talent.” Saskatoon Star Phoenix, Apr 23, 2020.

“The young indie singer-songwriter based in Saskatoon . . . has carved out a fun niche for herself. The slick vocals and smooth acoustic accompaniment pair perfectly with (her) raw lyrics.” Saskatoon Star Phoenix, Oct 16, 2020

“(Aurora) Bella’s cathartic writing and dreamy, effortless voice combine to candidly capture her sorrow and loss. Her flair for old fashioned vocal melodies and the uniquely wistful violin-ukulele arrangement posit the song firmly among the alternative singer songwriters redefining the genre.” Will Yannacoulias, North Sask Music Zine, Aug 2022.
